Last month Albany’s Alpha Center held it’s first Cookout Day! On a Friday afternoon from 1:00 to 4:00 pm, about 100 people from our local area enjoyed a picnic lunch that included burgers and hot dogs, chips and assorted drinks.
Children enjoyed a Bounce House, getting their Faces Painted and dancing to fun music played by a DJ. School-aged children each received a backpack with school supplies and younger children got coloring books with crayons.
Lucky raffle winners received new bicycles and tablets that were raffled off. All together, it was a great day for all that attended!
We are grateful to the church members from City Harvest Church that helped to sponsor this fun event. We are hoping to make it an annual event!
